The Belt Loop Garland Kit makes a very cute garland for your Christmas tree, windows, or mantle that is 72″ long. The kit even comes with a pair of high-quality stainless steel tweezers which have many uses after you have built the kit.

This garland kit is based on the link belt which was invented in 1875. The kit takes ideas from leather link belts which show up in fashion around the 1930s and mixes it with felted wool art to make a really novel garland. Interlock each link to form the chain and then finish it with some blanket stitchery.

Patriotic Star Garland

Makes 13 star shaped ornaments, one for each of the original colonies. The ornaments are made up of three different sized stars and the larger ones have stuffing. The large ornaments are approximately 4″ tall. You can make these to hang individually, in groups or made up as a garland.

Penny Garland Kit

This Penny Garland is done in the tradition of the penny rug. The penny rug was made from your wool felt scraps by tracing coins of the day, typically a penny, and making stacks of different color and size pennies and attaching these to a rectangle of felt. In the 1700s and 1800s a penny rug was not used on the floor but was used on your table to protect the hot wax from a candle from damaging the shellac finish on the table.

Valentine Garland Kit

The Valentine Garland Kit makes an assortment of heart/penny ornaments which can be strung together to make a garland. It contains a combination of cream, black, red, and pink 2″ pennies on which are red, cream, or pink hearts. You only need one stitch to put this together: a blanket stitch. It's a great project for a beginner to help you practice your blanket stitching.

Holly Garland Kit

The Holly Garland is a great decoration for the Christmas holidays. It makes a double-sided 72″ garland with holly leaves and red berries. You can make it single-sided and double the length to 144″. It uses a simple blanket stitch to make the double-sided leaves and berries followed by a running stitch to join the berries into a long chain. The kit contains precision-cut leaves and berries plus a ball of floss and an embroidery needle, everthing you need to start building the garland.
