Faith, Hope, and Love Mat Kit

The Faith, Hope, and Love design is based on the Pennsylvania German Fraktur designs from about 1770–1870.

In this design, the heart with red and blue represents faith plus strength and charity. The flowers blooming from the heart represents your faith blooming in your heart. The tulips arranged as pairs represent the husband and wife married couple and multiple pairs represent family and friends supporting your home with love.

The birds in this motif represent the abounding joy that comes from faith, hope, and love.

The kit consists of precision cut wool felt plus instructions to build an 111⁄4″ × 23″ mat. The mat base is two layers of red plus one layer of cream wool felt. Recommended for age 12+. This kit does not include the floss or the needle. You will need to purchase 1 ball each of the following colors - brown, yellow, blue, red, light green, and cream of DMC #8 Perle Cotton. Check out our embroidery floss in large 10 gram balls (that's about 290 feet per ball).

Faithfully Waiting Mat Kit

The Faithfully Waiting Mat is 11″ wide by 81⁄2″ high. Kit includes precision cut wool felt parts but does not contain the floss or needle. This is an advanced kit. The bird looking over its shoulder (called an embracing position) signifies one who is waiting for their spouse to return. The bird is a sign of good luck and happiness. The cream colored background symbolizes purity and the scalloped border represents an ocean with waves for smooth sailing. The red of the tulip symbolizes strong emotion with faith and trust. The red in the rosette of the Rose of Sharon flower symbolizes safeguard against harm.
